By the faith
That was once given to me,
To follow
The Lamb of God,
By the grace
Sent from God,
I will walk
With courage toward heaven.
I want to go
From strength to strength,
And follow
Jesus, my Lord,
Until one day
I receive in heaven
The crown
That God will give me.
I want to put on
The armor of God,
To fight
With courage and strength;
For here
The battle is hard,
Against the hosts
Of the evil tempter.
In Jesus
I will do mighty deeds
In the battle
Of faith and love.
In Him
I have strength and skill
To fight
And to be victorious!
When this battle
Comes to an end,
I will say:
“I have fought
The battle of love.”
And I shall receive
The crown of righteousness
That the Lord
Will give me in heaven.
