What a kind Friend
Christ is!
He carried
Our sorrows,
And tells us
To bring
All our cares
To the Lord.
Does your troubled heart
Lack joy,
Peace,
And comfort?
It is because
We do not take
Everything to God
In prayer.
Are you weak
And burdened
With cares
And fear?
Go by faith
To Jesus,
Your eternal refuge,
And tell Him
All your troubles.
Do your friends
Despise you?
Tell Him
In prayer,
And with
His tender love,
You will have peace
In your heart.
Christ is
A true Friend;
He has given us
Proof of this,
When He became man
To take
The guilty one
With Him.
He shed
His pure blood
To wash away
Our stains;
Joy in this life
And in eternity
We can find
In Him.
