Upon the earth I keep on walking,

Sobre a terra vou andando,

Joyfully toward heaven above,

Bem alegre para o céu,

Satisfied and singing praises

Satisfeito e salmodiando

To the gracious God;

Ao bondoso Deus;

Though with fierce enemies

Com ferozes inimigos

I am always called to fight,

Pelejando sempre estou,

Still I keep my inward peace,

Mas conservo paz comigo,

For I am dearly loved.

Pois amado sou.

My Shepherd is my heavenly Father,

Meu Pastor é Pai celeste,

Who is leading me to Zion,

Que me guia pra Sião

Through the valleys, ever ready,

Pelos vales e mui prestes,

With His mighty hand;

Com segura mão;

In the dangers of the journey,

Nos perigos da viagem,

In distress and deepest pain,

Nas angústias e na dor,

His own voice declares with courage:

Sua voz me diz: Coragem,

“I am your Savior.”

Sou teu Salvador.

Working daily with my Jesus,

Com Jesus eu trabalhando,

I continue still in prayer;

Persevero em oração;

Seeking all His wisdom by faith,

Seu saber com fé buscando

That I may be whole.

Pra tornar-me são.

What an incomparable blessing

Que prazer incomparável

To be guided by my Lord.

Ser guiado por Jesus.

Yes, by Christ, so full of mercy,

Sim, por Cristo tão amável,

In His endless light.

Na perene luz.

When I reach that blessed homeland,

Ao chegar-se nessa pátria

Every tear shall pass away.

Todos prantos cessarão.

Then the glorious Sun is shining

Já o sol divino raia,

In that happy home.

Na feliz mansão.

Sorrows, struggles, grief and anguish,

Males, lutas e agonias,

All will end forever there;

Acabaram-se aqui;

Christ is coming, oh, what gladness

Cristo vem, oh! Que alegria

We shall know up there!
