I believe the Bible,

Creio eu na Bíblia, o Livro do Senhor,

The Book of the Lord,

Pois de Jesus Cristo mostra o doce amor;

For it reveals the sweet love

todos meus pecados apagados estão,

Of Jesus Christ;

Paz e gozo tenho em meu coração.

All my sins have been forgiven,

And I have peace and joy

Creio eu na Bíblia, livro de meu Deus;

In my heart.

Para mim a Bíblia é o maná dos céus!

Mostra-me o caminho para o lar celestial;

I believe the Bible,

Acho eu na bíblia, graça divinal!

The Book of my God;

To me the Bible

Creio eu na Bíblia, ensina-me a cantar

Is the manna from heaven!

Cantos de vitória, e de amor sem par;

It shows me the way

Lindas melodias, eu cantando vou,

To the heavenly home;

Porque redimido pelo Sangue estou!

In the Bible I find

Divine grace!

Só a santa Bíblia a santidade dá,

Este dom de Cristo, prometido já;

I believe the Bible,

Todos os que buscam plena salvação,

It teaches me to sing

Estas bênçãos, só em Cristo, acharão.

Songs of victory

And of matchless love;

Lemos hoje a bíblia p'ra todo pecador,

Beautiful melodies

Para que encontre Cristo, o Salvador;

I gladly sing,

Sendo sua vida, livre de pecar,

Because I have been redeemed

O divino Livro, ele vai honrar!

By the blood!

Only the Holy Bible

Leads to holiness,

This gift of Christ,

Already promised;

All who seek

Full salvation

Will find these blessings

Only in Christ.

Today we read the Bible

To every sinner,

So that he may find

Christ the Savior;

His life being

Free from sin,

He will honor

The divine Book.
