We are soldiers of Jesus

Soldados somos de Jesus

And champions of goodness and light;

E campeões do bem, da luz;

In the armies of God,

Nos exércitos de Deus,

We fight for heaven,

Batalhamos pelos céus,

Singing, we go forth to fight

Cantando, vamos combater.

Against vile sin and all its power;

O vil pecado e seu poder;

The battle has been won;

A batalha ganha está;

God gives us the victory.

A vitória Deus nos dá.

Soon we shall finish the battle here,

Breve vamos terminar a batalha aqui,

And forever rest there with Jesus;

E p ‘ra sempre descansar com Jesus ali;

All who are faithful to the good Captain

Todos os que são fiéis ao bom Capitão,

Shall receive laurels as their reward.

Hão de receber lauréis como galardão.

Take up the shield, yes, the shield of faith,

Levai o escudo, sim, da fé,

For the battle is hard,

Pois a peleja dura é,

But we have the promise

Mas promessa temos nós

That we shall never fight alone.

De jamais lutarmos sós.

Do not fear the arrows of evil,

– As flechas do mal não temer,

But fight until you overcome;

Mas combater até vencer,

The champions look toward heaven,

Olham os campeões p’ros céus,

Victory comes from God.

A vitória vem de Deus.

If anyone finds himself weary,

Se alguém cansado se encontrar,

Without strength to fight,

Sem forças para pelejar,

The Lord desires to help you

O Senhor quer te ajudar

Reach the victory;

A vitória alcançar;

Overcoming evil, press forward,

O mal vencendo avançai,

And sing hymns to Jesus,

E hinos a Jesus cantai,

Speak of salvation,

E da salvação falai;

And bring souls to the Lord.
