We are soldiers
Of Jesus,
Champions
Of goodness and light.
In the armies
Of God,
We fight
For heaven.
Singing,
We go into battle
Against sinful evil
And its power.
The battle
Has already been won;
God gives us
The victory.
Soon
We will finish
The battle here,
And forever
Rest with Jesus.
All who are faithful
To the good Captain
Will receive
Their crowns
As a reward.
Take up
The shield of faith,
For the battle
Is fierce;
But we have
The promise
That we will
Never fight alone.
Do not fear
The arrows of evil,
But fight
Until you overcome.
The champions
Look toward heaven;
The victory
Comes from God.
If anyone
Grows weary,
Without strength
To fight,
The Lord
Wants to help you
Gain the victory.
Keep advancing,
Overcoming evil,
Sing hymns
To Jesus,
Proclaim salvation,
And bring souls
To the Lord.
