The Lord ascended triumphantly to heaven;

Subiu triunfante p'ra o céu, o Senhor:

In the same way He will return.

Assim mesmo há de voltar;

“Behold, I come quickly,” says the Savior,

"Eis que venho breve”, diz o Salvador,

When the shout is heard.

Quando o alarido ecoar.

With great wisdom I want to remain

Com muita prudência eu quero estar

Waiting for my Lord,

Esperando por meu Senhor,

And always watch faithfully here,

E sempre alerta aqui vigiar.

Until my Savior comes.

Té que venha o meu Salvador.

I will joyfully meet with Christ

Com Cristo encontrar-me, gozoso irei.

When He descends in the clouds.

Quando Ele nas nuvens descer,

On that day I shall have

Corpo igual ao Seu, nesse dia terei;

A body like His.

Que dia de glória há de ser.

What a glorious day it will be!

Bendizendo a Cristo, no céu entrarei;

Praising Christ, I will enter heaven;

Irei no milênio ingressar;

I will take part in the Millennium.

Só com meu Jesus, eu aqui voltarei.

Only with my Jesus will I return here,

Pois todas nações vem julgar.

For He comes to judge all nations.

Vem sobre o Teu povo reinar, ó Senhor!

Come reign over Your people, O Lord!

Teu reinado aqui gozo traz,

Your kingdom brings joy here.

Ó vem, proteção nos trazer, Salvador!

Oh, come and bring us protection, Savior!

Vem, Jesus, com justiça e paz!

Come, Jesus, with justice and peace!

Vem, Cristo, meu Rei, Tua Esposa buscar;

Come, Christ my King, to receive Your Bride;

Eu quero contigo subir;

I long to rise with You.

Um canto perene Te quero entoar,

I want to sing You an everlasting song

E a glória eternal fruir.

And enjoy eternal glory.
