Once I know how I walked,
Beneath the veil of sin,
But from heaven there shone and entered into me
The light of glorious heaven.
In my heart the light has dawned
From glory, for Jesus loved me;
And now I always live with joy,
Since heaven's light has dawned!
And He gives me power,
That comes only from above,
From Jesus, who has saved me;
And here I live, praising God,
Who has set my soul free.
Rest has come, and striving has ended,
With Jesus, my Savior;
His endless love, revealed to me,
Fills me with peace and love.
Then I shall dwell
In happy Zion,
