Elijah prayed on Carmel's height

Elias no Carmelo orou

With earnest faith to God;

Com insistência a Deus;

Bowed to the earth, he cried in prayer

Curvado ao pó, com fé clamou

For rain from heaven above.

Por chuva lá dos céus.

Send the rain, O Lord,

Chuva, manda Senhor,

The rain of the Holy Comforter;

A chuva do Santo Consolador;

Send abundant rain, dear Savior:

Manda chuva forte, Salvador:

Upon Thy Church now let there fall

Na Tua lgreja faz descer

The rain of holy power.

A chuva de poder.

Go now, my servant, look and see

Vai, servo meu, do monte olhar

If dark clouds now appear;

Se nuvens negras vêm;

For even now the Lord may send

Pois pode agora Deus mandar

His blessed rain to us.

A chuva a nós também.

A little cloud like to a hand

Uma nuvem surge qual u'a mão,

Appears upon the sky;

No horizonte além,

Far off the thunder now is heard:

Ao longe ouve-se um trovão:

Yes, mighty rain draws near.

Sim, muita chuva vem.

O lukewarm soul, go seek the Lord

Ó crente frio, vai buscar

In earnest prayer today;

A Deus em oração,

Consecrate all your life to Him,

E tua vida consagrar,

Receive His holy anointing.
