The Word of the Lord
Gives strength to my life;
To my downcast soul
Comes the mighty Comforter.
Glorious deliverance
We find in Jesus;
In Him the joyful heart
Already enjoys His light.
Jesus Christ gave me salvation,
And also eternal life;
He gave joy to my heart,
And heavenly power.
His grace is sufficient,
Divine is His love;
I have a joyful life
Through the blessed Comforter!
Saints, let us all proclaim
That Jesus will return,
And that we must serve Him
And sincerely love Him.
He rose from the grave
And showed Himself alive
To the blessed people
Whom He so loved in the world.
Let there be no idle ones
In the Church of the Lord,
But fervent believers
Working with zeal.
Whoever overcomes here
Through Jesus and His love
Will receive royal garments
For the glorious wedding feast!
We shall enter the beautiful hall,
Filled with splendor,
Prepared for the Bride
Of Jesus, the Savior.
When we arrive there,
A great celebration will take place;
And Jesus, who has given us
Salvation, will serve us.
