The Word of the Lord

Dá sustento à minha vida,

Gives strength to my life;

A Palavra do Senhor;

To my downcast soul

A minh’alma abatida,

Comes the mighty Comforter.

Vem poder Consolador:

Glorious deliverance

Livramento glorioso

We find in Jesus;

Nós achamos em Jesus,

In Him the joyful heart

NEle o coração ditoso

Already enjoys His light.

Já desfruta Sua luz.

Jesus Christ gave me salvation,

Jesus Cristo deu-me salvação,

And also eternal life;

Também vida eternal;

He gave joy to my heart,

Deu-me gozo no meu coração,

And heavenly power.

E poder celestial;

His grace is sufficient,

Sua graça é bastante,

Divine is His love;

Divina! é Seu amor;

I have a joyful life

Tenho vida exultante,

Through the blessed Comforter!

Pelo bom Consolador!

Saints, let us all proclaim

Santos, todos proclamemos

That Jesus will return,

Que Jesus há de voltar,

And that we must serve Him

E que Lhe servir devemos

And sincerely love Him.

E sinceros O amar.

He rose from the grave

Resaurgiu da sepultura,

And showed Himself alive

E com vida se mostrou

To the blessed people

As felizes criaturas,

Whom He so loved in the world.

Que no mundo tanto amou.

Let there be no idle ones

Que não haja ociosos

In the Church of the Lord,

Na Igreja do Senhor,

But fervent believers

Mas, sim, crentes fervorosos

Working with zeal.

Trabalhando com vigor;

Whoever overcomes here

Quem aqui tiver vencido

Through Jesus and His love

Por Jesus e Seu amor,

Will receive royal garments

Há de ter real vestido,

For the glorious wedding feast!

Para as bodas d’esplendor!

We shall enter the beautiful hall,

Entraremos na formosa

Filled with splendor,

Sala, cheia de fulgor,

Prepared for the Bride

Preparada para a Esposa

Of Jesus, the Savior.

De Jesus, o Salvador;

When we arrive there,

Quando formos lá chegados

A great celebration will take place;

Grande festa haverá;

And Jesus, who has given us

E Jesus, que nos tem dado

Salvation, will serve us.
