I desire to be
In a place
Very near
To my Redeemer;
There I can
Find rest,
Sheltered
By His love.
Very near
To my Redeemer,
I shall find
A safe refuge;
He will guard me
From the tempter,
And I will fear
Nothing.
No one
Can take away
The peace
My heart enjoys;
Gracious Jesus
Will give me
The safest
Protection.
I will have
No sorrow
Nor fear,
While I remain
Near Jesus;
I will always
Be surrounded
By His glory
And His light.
