Oh, why should you doubt
Upon the waves of the sea,
When Christ has opened the way?
When you are forced
To struggle against the waves,
His love desires to reveal itself to you.
Cast off the ship's rope,
Take the oars in your hands,
And sail by faith in Jesus;
Then you will see
How the calm will come,
For with Him you will be safe.
Do darkness and storms
Upon the sea frighten you?
From the mountain
The Master sees you;
And in your tribulation
He comes to help you,
His hand is able to sustain you.
Can you remember
His matchless wonders?
In the wilderness
He fed the people;
And He will always have
That same power,
For He never changes
And He will never fail.
When you ask for more faith,
He hears you, believe!
Even in the midst of tribulation;
When His mighty hand
Removes your self,
You will be able to walk upon the waves.
