Oh, why should you doubt

Upon the waves of the sea,

When Christ has opened the way?

When you are forced

To struggle against the waves,

His love desires to reveal itself to you.

Solta o cabo da nau

Cast off the ship's rope,

Toma os remos na mão,

Take the oars in your hands,

E navega com fé em Jesus;

And sail by faith in Jesus;

E então, tu verás que bonança se faz

Then you will see

Pois com Ele, seguro serás.

How the calm will come,

For with Him you will be safe.

Trevas vêm te assustar,

Tempestades no mar?

Do darkness and storms

– Da montanha o Mestre te vê;

Upon the sea frighten you?

E na tribulação

From the mountain

Ele vem socorrer,

The Master sees you;

Sua mão bem te pode suster.

And in your tribulation

He comes to help you,

Podes tu recordar,

His hand is able to sustain you.

Maravilhas, sem par?

– No deserto ao povo fartou;

Can you remember

E o mesmo poder

His matchless wonders?

Ele sempre terá,

In the wilderness

Pois não muda e não falhará.

He fed the people;

And He will always have

Quando pedes mais fé,

That same power,

Ele ouve, ó crê!

For He never changes

Mesmo sendo em tribulação;

And He will never fail.

Quando a mão de poder o teu "ego” tirar,

Sobre as ondas poderás andar.

When you ask for more faith,

He hears you, believe!

Even in the midst of tribulation;

When His mighty hand

Removes your self,

You will be able to walk upon the waves.
