When the labor of this life is ended,

When death comes and stands beside you,

What shall be the destiny of your soul?

What shall be your future home?

My friend, today you have the choice:

Meu amigo, hoje tu tens a escolha:

Life or death, which will you choose?

– Vida ou morte – qual vais aceitar?

Tomorrow may be far too late:

Amanhã pode ser muito tarde:

Today Christ wants to set you free.

Hoje Cristo te quer libertar.

You seek for peace within this world,

Tu procuras a paz neste mundo,

In pleasures that pass away in vain;

Em prazeres que passam em vão.

But in the final hour of life,

Mas, na última hora da vida,

They will no longer satisfy you.

Eles não mais te satisfarão.

Perhaps you laughed, O friend,

When you heard them speak of Jesus;

But only Jesus can give you

Only believers with pure hearts

Shall have the joy of heaven.

If you decide to leave your sins

And give your life to Jesus,

Then, in the final hour, you shall walk

A shining pathway full of light.
