Before I knew the endless love,

Te conhecer o amor sem fim,

A sinner I had been;

Um pecador fui eu;

Within my thoughts there was no place

Em o meu pensar não houve lugar

For Christ and heaven.

Para Cristo e o céu.

I believe, yes, now I believe,

Eu creio, sim, Já creio, sim,

Jesus died for me;

Jesus morreu por mim;

By His blood, which He poured out,

Pelo sangue Seu, que Ele verteu,

I was finally set free.

Libertado fui por fim.

For when I saw Jesus for me,

Pois, quando vi Jesus por mim,

Suffering upon the cross,

Sofrendo sobre a cruz,

My heart, without hesitation,

O meu coração, sem hesitação,

Received His love and light.

Recebeu o amor e a luz.

With tears, I asked forgiveness,

Com lágrimas, pedi perdão,

And sorrow I also felt;

E dor, também senti;

Then Jesus came and spoke to me:

Veio, então, Jesus, e a mim falou:

“It was for you that I died.”

“Foi por ti que Eu morri”.

I know that God, in His own Son,

Eu sei que Deus, no Filho Seu,

Sees me perfect and whole;

Me vê perfeito e são;

There is no more fear, only blessed love,

Não há mais temor, só bendito amor,

And joy within my heart.

Gozo no meu coração.
