There is peace and joy in the kingdom of light;

Há paz e alegria no reino da luz;

To the homeland of the redeemed, Jesus leads us.

Á pátria dos remidos, Jesus nos conduz,

In the kingdom of heaven there is joy and peace;

No reino dos céus há gozo e paz;

The children of God have true power.

Os filhos de Deus têm poder veraz.

Há paz e alegria no reino dos céus;

The redeemed there sing praises to God.

Os salvos lá entoam louvores a Deus;

Give glory to Jesus! For He loved us;

Dai glória a Jesus! Porque nos amou;

For us He shed His blood!

Por nós o Seu sangue Ele derramou!

Jesus has promised the Comforter!

Jesus tem prometido o Consolador!

The Holy Spirit, our Teacher;

O Espírito Santo, o instruidor;

He also promised, in the kingdom of heaven,

Também prometeu, no reino dos céus,

A holy place beside our God.

Um santo lugar, junto ao nosso Deus.

Standing firm upon this great and faithful promise,

Firmado na promessa tão grande e eficaz,

Even now in this world I enjoy His peace;

Agora neste mundo desfruto a paz;

I await Jesus descending from the clouds,

Espero Jesus, nas nuvens descer,

To receive me into His glory.

E na Sua glória me receber.
