One day, Christ will return;

Um dia, Cristo voltará;

When He ascended, He promised it;

In the same way He went up, He will come;

Do modo que subiu virá;

His people shall behold King Jesus.

Há de ver o Rei Jesus, o povo Seu.

Very soon, yes, Jesus will come,

Mui breve sim, Jesus virá,

His people will joyfully see Him;

Alegre O verá Seu povo;

Everyone must always remain watchful,

Velando, todos devem sempre estar,

So that they may see Him return.

A fim de vê-Lo voltar.

The messengers of the Lord

Os mensageiros do Senhor,

Declare that Jesus will come;

Afirmam que Jesus virá;

And the comforting power

E o poder Consolador

Will reveal the faithful promises to us.

As fiéis promessas nos revelará.

Oh! Joy beyond compare

Oh! gozo sem comparação

On the day of my Savior,

No dia do meu Salvador,

With the very great multitude,

Com a mui grande multidão,

We shall rise to meet the Lord.

Subiremos ao encontro do Senhor.

Welcome, my Lord,

Bem-vindo sejas, meu Senhor,

In Your glorious light;

Em Tua gloriosa luz;

And our faith shall be rewarded;

E nossa fá terá valor;

We say: “Come, Lord Jesus.”

Nós dizemos: “Ora, vem Senhor Jesus”.
