Blessed is the one who places

Bem-aventurado o que confia

All his trust in God alone,

No Senhor, como fez Abraão;

As did Abraham, believing

Ele creu, ainda que não via,

Though the promise was unseen.

E, assim, a fé não foi em vão.

Happy is the one who follows

É feliz quem segue, fielmente,

In the holy paths of God;

Nos caminhos santos do Senhor,

Patient in his tribulations,

Na tribulação é paciente,

Waiting on his Savior's love.

Esperando no seu Salvador.

Heroes of the Holy Scriptures

Os heróis da Bíblia Sagrada,

Did not quickly win their crowns;

Não fruíram logo seus troféus;

Yet they bore the cross with courage,

Mas levaram sempre a cruz pesada,

Seeking strength that comes from heaven.

Para obter poder dos céus,

Then they went throughout the nations,

E depois, saíram pelo mundo,

Messengers of Christ the Lord,

Como mensageiros do Senhor,

With deep love and steadfast courage,

Com coragem e amor profundo,

Preaching Christ, the Savior dear.

He who longs to wear God's crown

Must endure much suffering;

Passará por mais tribulação;

None can reach the holy heights

Without wings of humility.

Sem as asas da humilhação;

God has granted to His children

O Senhor tem dado aos Seus queridos,

Part within His glorious life;

Parte do Seu glorioso ser;

He whose heart has suffered deepest

Quem no coração for mais ferido,

Shall receive the greater joy.

When the flowers here are fading,

Quando aqui as flores já fenecem,

Heaven's blossoms start to bloom;

As do céu começam a brilhar;

When all earthly hopes have vanished,

Quando as esperanças desvanecem,

Then the troubled saint will pray.

O aflito crente vai orar;

Many of the sweetest hymns

Os mais belos hinos e poesias,

Were composed in times of trial,

Foram escritos em tribulação,

And the songs that came from heaven

E do céu, as lindas melodias,

Echoed through the darkest night.

Se ouviram, na escuridão.

Yes, then trust Him without doubting,

Sim, confia tu, inteiramente;

In the boundless grace of God;

Na imensa graça do Senhor;

Let all discouragement depart,

Seja de ti longe o desalento

Resting in His holy love.

E confia no Seu santo amor.

Let "Hallelujah" be the banner

Aleluia seja a divisa,

Of each hero, every saint;

Do herói e todo o vencedor;

For from heaven blows a stronger breeze

E do céu mais forte vem a brisa,

Leading thee unto the Lord.
