From the grave to heaven Jesus rose,

Da sepultura, para o céu, Jesus voltou,

After conquering sin and all its foes;

Depois que o pecado aniquilou;

With mighty power He arose again,

Com gran poder foi que ressuscitou,

And freedom proclaimed to captive men;

E liberdade aos presos proclamou;

The trembling earth His triumph knew,

Tremendo, a terra O saudou,

For from the dead He rose anew.

Pois que da morte se levantou.

He is risen! He is risen!

Ressuscitou! Ressuscitou!

To heaven Christ ascended then;

E para o céu Jesus tornou;

But He shall come

Mas voltará, também de lá,

Again from there,

E neste mundo, então reinará.

And over all the earth shall reign.

Em riso, o pranto dos discípulos se tornou,

The tears of all the disciples turned to joy,

Pois vivo, Cristo se apresentou;

For Christ alive appeared before their eyes;

– “Parti p’ra Galiléia, ordenou,

"Go now to Galilee," He said,

E a promessa santa revelou:

And there His holy promise gave:

“Poder do alto, eu vos dou

"Power from heaven I will send,

Pois ao meu Pai, pedi-lo vou".

For I shall ask My Father then."

Jesus a Sua mão divina levantou,

Jesus raised His holy hands on high,

Abençoando seres que salvou,

Blessing all the souls He came to save;

E, triunfante, para o céu tornou.

Then triumphantly He rose to heaven,

E uma nuvem logo O ocultou;

And soon a cloud concealed Him there;

Mas a promessa lhes deixou:

Yet this promise He declared:

“Eis que convosco pra sempre estou”

"Behold, I'm with you everywhere."

Sentado à destra de Deus Pai, Jesus está,

Seated at the Father's right hand now,

Por Sua Esposa suplicando já;

Jesus intercedes for all His own;

O mundo disto não cogita cá,

The world ignores this glorious truth,

Porque não vê a luz que brilha lá;

Because it cannot see His light;

Mui breve, Cristo voltará,

Very soon Christ shall return,

Mas, só os Seus, ao céu levará.

And take His own to heaven above.
