Near the throne of God prepared

There with God awaits us Jesus.

Junto a Deus nos espera Jesus.

Earthly pleasures cannot give

Though delights on earth may come,

Soon they vanish without trace;

São prazeres que acabam-se aqui;

With the everlasting light,

Co'a existência perpétua da luz,

Making us rejoice with Jesus.

A tornar-nos felizes com Jesus.

Let us keep within our hearts

Conservemos em nossa lembrança,

Thoughts of that fair, heavenly land;

As riquezas do lindo país,

Let us firmly hold the hope

E guardemos conosco a esperança,

Of a better life at hand;

De uma vida melhor, mais feliz;

Offering us the kingdom's light,
