The glorious dawn has come,

A gloriosa aurora vem,

Of that day in Bethlehem,

Do dia em que lá em Belém

When God's own Son was born;

Nasceu de Deus, o Filho;

What a beautiful day of light,

Que belo dia e de luz,

When Jesus came to us,

No qual p’ra nós desceu Jesus,

From heaven showing the way.

Do céu mostrando o trilho.

How many saints remember today,

Quantos santos hoje lembram,

And recall the story

E relembram a história

Of Jesus, the King of Glory!

De Jesus, o Rei da Glória!

Jesus was born in Bethlehem,

Nasceu Jesus lá em Belém,

Bringing to us the greatest gift

Trazendo-nos o sumo bem

From heaven, true freedom;

Do céu – a liberdade;

He granted us perfect peace,

Nos concedeu perfeita paz,

A consolation that satisfies

Consolação que satisfaz

For all eternity!

Por toda a eternidade!

How we had wandered,

Como fomos desgarrados,

Strayed and were lost!

Desviados e perdidos!

Now we are redeemed!

Hoje somos redimidos!

Christ will dwell with us,

Conosco Cristo habitará

By His power He will watch over us,

Com Seu poder nos velará,

Granting us deliverance;

Nos dando livramento;

And He will always guide us,

For His grace will sustain us
