Within our souls we now receive

Em nossa alma nós tomamos.

Thy body, Lord Jesus;

O Teu corpo, ó Jesus!

As the willing sacrifice

Como oferta voluntária,

Thou gavest on the cross.

Que nos deste lá na cruz.

As the Bread from heaven Thou camest,

Como pão do céu desceste,

Thee we now receive;

Vamos a Ti receber;

For united to Thy body,

Pois unidos ao Teu corpo,

We desire to live.

Nós queremos, sim, viver.

As a symbol of Thy blood

Em figura, o Teu sangue

We now drink, O Lord;

Nós bebemos, ó Senhor,

For in it alone is power

Pois só nEle há virtude

To save the sinner.

P'ra salvar o pecador.

Come, grant unto Thy Church

Vem, concede à Tua Igreja

The pardon of Thy love,

O perdão do Teu amor,

That through these two sacred emblems

Para que nos dois emblemas,

We may behold Thee, Lord.

Contemplemos-Te, Senhor.

O Lord, by Thy Holy Spirit

Ó Senhor, por Teu Espírito

Come and dwell in us,

Em nós vem já residir,

That Thy body and Thy blood

Pra Teu corpo e Teu sangue

We rightly may discern.

Nós podermos discernir.
