My soul is united with Christ,

A Cristo unida está a minh’alma,

For in Him I have my true sustenance;

Pois nEle eu tenho meu vero sustento;

He fills me with heavenly joy and peace;

Me enche de gozo do céu, e de calma;

He also teaches me His commandments.

Também me ensina os seus mandamentos.

O Bride of Jesus, prepare yourself to go

Ó Noiva de Jesus, apronta-te para ir

To the eternal and holy kingdom;

Para o eterno e santo reinado;

There you will enjoy divine love

Que divinal amor irás lá, então, fruir

With Jesus Christ, your Beloved!

Com Jesus Cristo, o teu amado!

In the holy Church, redeemed by His blood,

Na santa Igreja, com sangue remida,

His glory is already revealed in me,

Já é manifesta em mim Sua glória,

Which by His grace was granted to me;

Que por Sua graça me foi concedida,

Sheltered in it, I shall have victory.

Na qual abrigado, terei a vitória.

Thus I desire, united with Christ,

Assim eu desejo a Cristo unido,

To follow the way to the beautiful city;

Seguir o caminho pra bela cidade,

For in Him I am well protected from evil,

Pois nEle, dos males, sou bem protegido,

And surrounded by true goodness.
