Christ has now prepared for us

Cristo já nos preparou

A feast that He has bought for us,

Um manjar que nos comprou,

And now He calls us all to dine;

E, agora, nos convida a cear:

With heavenly manna sweet,

Com celestial maná

That God gives you without cost,

Que de graça Deus te dá,

Come, hungry soul, be satisfied.

Vem, faminto, tua alma saciar.

“Come and dine,” the Master calls, “come and dine.”

“Vem cear”, o Mestre chama – “vem cear”.

Even now your soul may be satisfied;

Mesmo hoje tu te podes saciar;

A few loaves He multiplied,

Poucos pães multiplicou,

Water into wine supplied,

Água em vinho transformou,

Come, hungry one, to Jesus, “come and dine.”

Vem, faminto, a Jesus, “vem cear”.

See the disciples coming back,

Eis discípulos a voltar,

Having caught no fish at all,

Sem os peixes apanhar,

But Jesus sends them out once more;

Mas Jesus os manda outra vez partir,

When they reached the shore again,

Ao tornar à praia, então,

They saw fish and bread on fire,

Vêem no fogo peixe e pão,

And Jesus called them to the meal.

E Jesus, que os convida à ceia vir.

Whoever thirsts today,

Quem sedento se achar,

Come to Christ without delay,

Venha a Cristo sem tardar,

For He gives the pure and perfect wine;

Pois o vinho sem mistura Ele dá;

And the Bread of Life as well,

E também da vida, o pão,

Bringing comfort to the soul;

Que nos traz consolação;

Everything is now prepared for you.

Eis que tudo preparado já está.

Soon Christ will descend,

Breve Cristo vai descer,

And receive His Bride,

E a Noiva receber

To her place beside the Lord Jesus;

Seu lugar ao lado do Senhor Jesus;

Those who hunger here endured,

Quem a fome suportou.

Whose thirst now is no more,

E a sede já passou,

There in heaven they shall dine in holy light.

Lá no céu irá cear em santa luz.
