Soon the great day will come

Breve vem o grande dia

When all struggles shall end;

Em que lutas findarão;

All the evils and agonies

Todos males, agonias,

Of this world shall cease.

Deste mundo cessarão.

In heaven the weeping shall cease,

Cessará no céu o pranto,

For there will be no more pain,

Pois não haverá mais dor,

And the song shall be heard

E ouvir-se-á o canto,

Of the redeemed of the Lord!

Dos remidos do Senhor!

Oh! What joy, to be with Christ,

Oh! que gozo, estar com Cristo,

Listening to His voice!

Escutando a Sua voz!

This is what I long for today,

Eu almejo hoje isto,

And to follow Him always!

E segui-Lo sempre após!

If Jesus Christ is my Guide,

Se Jesus Cristo é meu guia,

I shall walk the Way;

O Caminho hei de trilhar;

Whoever thus trusts in God

Quem assim em Deus confia,

Shall reach Heaven above.

Lá no Céu há de chegar.
