What joy! Jesus has saved me.

Que alegria, Jesus me salvou.

By His grace, for He bore

Por Sua graça, pois Ele levou

My sins, nailing them to the cross,

Os meus pecados, cravando-os na cruz,

Making His light shine upon me.

Fazendo brilhar sobre mim a luz.

Saved by grace through my Jesus!

Salvo de graça por meu Jesus!

Saved by grace, now I have the light!

Salvo de graça, Já tenho a luz!

Let us give Him glory for the great victory

Demos-Lhe glória por grande vitória,

That the Lord Jesus won for me.

Que por mim ganhou o Senhor Jesus.

I always wandered through the world,

Sempre errante no mundo andei,

Far from God and the precepts of His law,

Longe de Deus, dos preceitos da lei,

Which promises me incomparable joy,

Que me promete o gozo sem par,

And also gives me freedom here.

Também liberdade aqui me dar.

Weeping and tears cannot avail,

Choro e prantos não podem valer,

Nor human efforts, nor great knowledge,

Nem seus esforços, nem grande saber,

For one who is lost and thirsting for light,

Para um perdido sedento de luz,

If he does not believe in the Lord Jesus.

Se ele não crer no Senhor Jesus.

I have heaven's rest, joy at last,

Tenho descanso do céu, gozo enfim,

For Jesus Christ has saved me;

Pois Jesus Cristo salvou-me a mim;

When I enter His kingdom of light,

Quando eu entrar no Seu reino de luz.

I shall praise the Lord Jesus even more.

Melhor vou louvar o Senhor Jesus.
