When Jesus comes down from heaven
To return for His own,
And the trumpet of God proclaims to all
That the great day of my King's triumph has come,
By His abundant grace,
I shall be there.
When at last the day arrives
Of my King's triumph,

On that day, when the dead
Will hear the voice of Christ,
And rise from their graves,
The redeemed, gathered together,
Will at once acclaim their King,

Throughout the world, Jesus,
My Savior, was rejected.
They despised and insulted my Lord,
But the glorious day is coming,
The day of my King's triumph,

In myself I have nothing
In which I can trust,
But Jesus died on the cross to save me;
In Him alone I place my hope,
Yes, and always will.
For by His abundant grace,
I shall be there.
