Heavenly Jerusalem,

Jerusalém celestial,

A dwelling of such divine peace!

Mansão de paz tão divinal!

A wall of jasper surrounds it;

De jaspe tem muro em redor;

There is the Light, my Lord.

Onde é a luz, o meu Senhor.

Jerusalem, dwelling of light,

Jerusalém, mansão de luz,

Jerusalem of my Jesus!

Jerusalém de meu Jesus!

The city that God made for us;

Cidade que p’ra nós fez Deus;

Eternal glory for His children.

Eterna glória para os filhos seus.

A river is there, like crystal,

Um rio tem. e qual cristal,

Whose water makes immortal;

Cuja água faz ser imortal;

The trees there are very beautiful,

As árvores lá mui belas são,

And, oh! They shall serve for healing.

E pra curar oh! servirão.

There is no more weeping or pain;

Ali não há mais pranto e dor;

The curse has no power;

A maldição não tem vigor;

The night is gone and shall return no more;

A noite foi e não vem mais;

The sun has risen, the sorrows have passed.

O sol raiou, passaram os “ais”.

There I shall see my Lord,

Ali verei o meu Senhor,

I shall behold His splendor,

Contemplarei seu resplendor,

And I shall sing His praise

E cantarei o seu louvor

With gratitude and fervor.
