If I must journey
Through the valleys,
Or dwell
In Christ's glorious light,
I will go with my Lord
Wherever He leads.
Trusting in the grace
Of my Savior.
If Christ goes with me,
I will go;
I will not fear,
I will go with joy.
If He goes with me,
I will gladly serve Jesus,
And bear the cross;
If Christ goes with me,
I will go.
If Jesus wants to send me
Into the desert,
Carrying the good news
Of matchless salvation,
Then I will labor
With peace in my heart,
Following Christ
Without delay.
If my portion
Is to bear the rugged cross,
I will always rely
On His grace and power.
Content with Jesus,
Bearing my cross,
I will speak of Christ,
Who is my light.
I desire
To obey Jesus, my Savior,
For in His Word
I find my wisdom.
Faithful to God
I will be,
I will overcome the world;
Jesus goes with me,
I will fear no more.
