When We Go to Heaven – 552
Sing of Christ's great love,
His grace and compassion:
In a peaceful and beautiful place
He prepares for us an eternal home.
When we arrive in heaven,
Oh! What a day of rejoicing it shall be!
To Jesus we shall give
Hosannas, filled with delight.
Today we are pilgrims:
Clouds darken our sky,
But one day, when the journey ends,
No more shadows, no more veil.
Let us therefore be faithful,
Whether in believing or in serving!
Just one glimpse of that Glory
Draws our hearts toward the future.
Come then, quickly to the reward:
Let us soon reach heaven;
The glorious gates are opening:
Behold, Jesus welcomes us.
