You, upon the cursed cross,
Revealed Your love,
Praying, Lord Jesus:
“Father, forgive the transgressor.”
You desire, You truly desire,
To awaken many souls;
You desire, O Lord,
To transform, redeem, and heal;
Oh yes! Oh yes!
You desire to renew them all.
The evil tempter
Is the author of destruction,
Of sin, evil, and pain,
Of sickness and affliction.
You bore, O good Jesus,
Sin, evil, and pain,
And sickness upon the cross;
You are the great Savior!
God is good and always desires
The good of the oppressed sinner;
There is no evil in God;
“God is light, God is love!”
