In the garden, Jesus Christ was praying,

No jardim. Jesus Cristo clamava,

When the wicked came to arrest Him;

Quando os ímpios O foram prender;

Speaking with the Father, He pleaded

E falando co'o Pai suplicava,

About the cup He was about to drink.

Pelo cálice que ia beber.

With Jesus my soul desires to be

Com Jesus a min'alma deseja estar

In the garden, in constant prayer;

No jardim, em constante oração;

When the night comes and evil surrounds me,

Quando a noite chegar, e o mal me cercar,

I want to remain in constant prayer.

Quero estar em constante oração.

Just as the dew gives life to the flowers,

Qual orvalho que dá vida às flores,

So prayer is to the believer;

Assim é para o crente a oração;

My cares, sorrows, and pains,

Meus cuidados, tristezas e dores,

Christ knows through my prayer.

Cristo as sabe por minha oração.

Jesus had complete victory,

Jesus teve completa vitória,

Because He always lived in prayer;

Porque sempre viveu em oração,

Many saints reached glory

Muitos santos chegaram à glória,

Under the covering of sweet prayer.

Sob o manto da doce oração.

We will be renewed in strength,

Renovados em forças seremos,

We will receive a fresh anointing;

Nós teremos u'a nova unção;

And with God we will speak in the garden,

E com Deus, no jardim falaremos,

If we live always in prayer.

Se vivermos sempre em oração.
