No sin enters heaven,

No céu não entra pecado

No weariness, sorrow, or pain;

Fadiga, tristeza, nem dor;

There is no broken heart,

Não há coração quebrantado,

For all are filled with love.

Pois todos são cheios de amor,

The clouds of earthly life

As nuvens da vida terrestre

Cannot dim the glory

Não podem a glória ofuscar

Of the kingdom of heavenly joy

Do reino de gozo celeste,

That God has prepared for me!

Que Deus quis pra mim preparar!

I shall go to the beautiful city,

Irei eu p’ra linda cidade,

Jesus will give me a place;

Jesus me dará um lugar,

With believers of every age,

Co’os crentes de todas Idades,

I shall always praise God.

A Deus hei de sempre louvar.

I greatly long for heaven,

Do céu tenho muitas saudades,

For the glories I shall see there;

Das glórias que lá hei de ver;

Oh! What joy I shall have,

Oh! Que gozo vou ter,

When I see my Lord,

Quando eu vir meu Senhor,

Surrounded by great splendor!

Rodeado de grande esplendor!

No payment is necessary

Pagar não é necessário

For the home that I shall have there;

A casa, que lá hei de ter;

And my eternal garment

E meu eternal vestuário,

Will never wear out in heaven.

No céu, nunca vai se romper.

I shall never live in poverty,

Jamais viverei em pobreza,

Afflicted in my holy home;

Aflito no meu santo lar,

There is abundant wealth there,

Ali há bastante riqueza,

Which I shall be able to enjoy.

Da qual podarei desfrutar.

In heaven mourning is banished,

No céu o luto é banido,

No funerals shall pass by;

Enterros não hão de passar;

No graves are ever raised,

Sepulcros jamais são erguidos,

There I shall find no dead.

Lá mortos não vou encontrar.

The old shall be transformed;

Os velhos serão transformados;

We shall all be changed.

Mudados nós vamos ficar.

Like stars scattered by God,

Quais astros por Deus espalhados

In heaven, forever to shine.

No céu, para sempre brilhar.
